About Me
Anne Marie Is passionate about design, history, languages, travel & sports. Her multi cultural background as well as being raised in Puerto Rico by a Dutch/ German father Dr. Walter Kleis and a beautiful Puerto Rican mother, Margarita Pasarell have been her inspiration and motivation.
As a youngster she excelled in the sport of tennis , ranked as the number 1 in Puerto Rico for many years, representing Puerto Rico in the Pan American games of 1979 and later in College playing the number one position at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving the All Ivy League Team honors in 1980.

After graduating from College with a BA in foreign languages, she moved to New York City to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology and for 6 years worked with French luxury European stores. In 1990 she returned to her beloved Puerto Rico, worked as a manager at Polo Ralph Lauren and created her company: Anne Marie Kleis Events.
For the past 26 years Anne Marie Kleis Events has created over 1,000 beautiful weddings & events in Europe, The United States, Puerto Rico and in the Caribbean, including a million dollar wedding in Necker Island and the 50 th Anniversary of Little Dix Bay Hotel in Virgin Gorda, BVI. Anne Marie loves the elegant tropical style in a gorgeous setting, creating a magical environment for everyone to enjoy.
